Dear Tim,
I started working with my trainer, Amber, almost 5 months ago. I made the decision to do something about my strength and body image about 3 months before I actually signed up with Fitness Together. Even though I knew that exercise was beneficial to overall health and weight management, I had NO idea that I could literally change my body and physical ability this much in such a short period of time. The work out technique that Fitness Together uses is extraordinarily effective – getting maximum results in terms of strength, muscle tone, and flexibility. Amber seems to know “exactly” what my body can and cannot do. She is clever at moving me along the improvement curve in a way that I don’t even know it’s happening. For example, when I started my training routine, I could NOT do a “lunge”. To my amazement, I am now doing all kinds of lunges.
The best thing about Fitness Together for me, of course, are the RESULTS; however, I also really appreciate the fact that I can work out with any of the other trainers in a seamless manner. They are all EXCELLENT and I have the confidence that my training and workouts will be effective, no matter “who” is doing them.
When I think of my physical condition 5 months ago compared to now, I am thrilled that I did not let my age (51) discourage me from starting an exercise routine. I feel better and look better than I have in a very long time. THANK YOU Tim!!!!

I joined Fitness Together about a month after I found out I was pregnant with my second child. Prior to joining I had always worked out on my own. Unfortunately, with a hectic work schedule and a 4 year old, my workouts were occurring about four times a month. I knew being pregnant at my age, it wasn’t going to be easy to shed the pounds and inches that comes with being pregnant, especially if you’re not doing any type of exercise along the way.
Fitness Together put me on a safe workout program and monitored my heart rate along the way to make sure no harm would come to my baby. My flexibility improved and my weight gain was at a healthy level. I felt great during my entire pregnancy and had a very easy delivery. I was back working out at FT 3 weeks after delivery at the same level of intensity I had worked out during my pregnancy.
At 5 weeks post-partum it was time to get serious. We stepped my workout up to a “normal” level of intensity and my husband and I started on a nutritional program with Seattle Sutton. I had about 10 pounds left to lose and I needed to increase my energy level, especially since I had gone back to work and I was still getting up for 2:00 a.m. feedings.
Your nutritional program is awesome. I steadily lost weight, I feel great and for the past 9 weeks I haven’t received the dreaded phone call on my way home from work from husband asking me “So, what’s for dinner?”
The combination of Fitness Together and Seattle Sutton, at 14 weeks post-partum, has brought me 3 pounds and just a few inches from my goal. I have lowered my body fat percentage, improved my flexibility, I’m eating healthy and feeling great and I have yet to tire from hearing “Wow, you just had a baby”?
Before becoming a client at Fitness Together, I never stayed with an exercise program longer than a few weeks. I joined several “health clubs” over the years yet rarely showed up to work out.
So why is it that 3 times a week for the past 12 weeks I have walked through the door at FT looking forward to my workout? Because the program and atmosphere at Fitness Together fill in the blanks that were missing in order for me to be successful at those other clubs. Maurice gives structure to my workout while keeping it challenging and fun. and having a regular appointment makes it easy to integrate time for exercise into my routine.
FT is the right place for me to work on my fitness goals. At age 47 I am enjoying a regular dynamic exercise program for the first time in my life, doing more than I knew I could, and feeling great.

Training at Fitness Together has been a very positive experience for me. As a small business owner, my schedule is ever changing and very hectic, so I can’t really make it to a gym fitness class that is scheduled at the same time every week (like at Wellbridge, Bally’s or the YMCA). And I just won’t go if it’s left up to me to be accountable for my own workout. I always find something else to do for my business. I’ve been seeing great results with Fitness Together. I’ve lost weight, but more importantly, I’ve lost inches and I could already get into a smaller size of clothes after just 1 month.
I have also seen some other positive benefits. I used to suffer from debilitating migraine headaches about 7 to 10 days every MONTH. Sometimes so bad I had to go to the ER!!! The first month I started with Fitness Together, I had fewer headaches. Now, I only get 1 or 2 and they are not as severe as before!! Talk about an unexpected benefit of working out!! Maybe it is because exercising with my trainer reduces my stress level. I can go in to a session in a terrible mood and after I work out with my trainer I immediately feel better. It has been a great self confidence booster as well – people have started to notice the changes.
Tim, the owner, genuinely cares about his clients. He received his bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Missouri State University and gives you a healthy diet plan to follow. You keep a food journal and Tim checks it to make sure you are staying on track. They also check your progress monthly on a variety of different factors. Sometimes I am amazed at the things they push me to do – amazed that I have progressed enough that I can do them!!!
I really recommend this to people. It’s not only great to have a one-on-one motivator, but it is private. You get your own workout "room" so you can go at your pace and are not embarrassed about others seeing you. Sure you could go to a personal trainer at any gym, but do you really want everyone watching you? I have worked with all of the trainers and they are all friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. You will never feel like you don’t belong. And no matter what your age or fitness level – this knowledgeable team of professional trainers can help you.
